Why?! Obvs because if you're reading this section you very clearly said YES to the big question. My heart is overflowing with happiness for you and this new adventure.

So why book engagement photos?
Some people think they’re a waste of money. That they are simply a new trend in the wedding industry. That people only get them for save the dates. So what. is. the. point.
The truth is this: if you are wanting to cut costs on your budget I would say that they’re right - an engagement session isn’t all that crucial. If you are on a tight budget, spend the money on something more important to you.
I know, I know - you think I’m crazy….what kind of business strategy is this?! But one thing you should know about me is that I am always 100% real with you - I’m not just a sales person that sees $$$ when I talk to you. You’re not just another project to me - I want what’s best for you even if that means not booking an engagement session with me.
But engagement sessions are truly a beautiful thing. Not only do they leave you with beautiful photos that you’ll cherish forever, but they also leave you with a sense of peace. Peace that you chose the right photographer. Peace that even though you might feel awkward in front of the camera, I got you & you know you will look stunning in your photos. I like to think of engagement photos as a trial run. We’ll have the flexibility to do certain poses you wouldn’t necessarily be able/ want to do in a wedding gown and tux. You both will get a feel for what it’s like to be in front of the camera before the biggest day of your life. And we will get the chance to get fully comfortable with one another.
Engagement sessions aren’t crucial - but they are a beautiful thing. And I believe with all of me that everyone should get them if they have the financial breathing room to do so. That being said - I do offer 10% off your wedding package if you book an engagement session with me as well.
